We can assist in both the build-up of an event and the take down and support the Event Organiser with any structured Golden Hour Briefing and Event De-Briefings to ensure all actions are carried out but also capturing any lessons learnt for future events.
We can provide a comprehensive package of training for staff to increase capacity and awareness generally, but also any event specific briefings. This adds to the overall culture of proactive management of an event.
We can provide a representation service to work with the Event Organisers and such organisations as the Police, Safety Advisory Group, Licensing Officers, and Counter Terrorism Units to ensure specialist knowledge and local context is built into an event.
We can provide protocols for the safe handling of information including CCTV footage to comply with General Data Protection Regulations and Information Commissioners Office best practice.
We can work with the Event Organiser to develop the necessary protocols to ensure an event runs smoothly. This often involves the creation of Events Emergency Documentation to enable incident management and control linked with multi-layered operational policies for interagency working practices, and if necessary Primacy transfer control documentation to ensure that rights of liability are clearly established in an emergency situation or incident.
With National Security related matters continuing to be at the forefront of everyone’s concern, the risk to an event of terrorism remains high. Event Organisers and Security companies need to have measures in place to combat the risk of a terrorist attack, incursion or hostile reconnaissance.
It is essential that Event Organisers and Security companies are aware of the many facets of a terrorist attack from bomb threats, to suspect packages, marauding terrorist attacks to knife crime. Threats await opportunities!
We work with Event Organisers, Security companies and Local Councils to develop a culture of terrorism awareness in organisers to meet the needs of forthcoming PROTECT DUTY legislation in light of the Manchester Bombing in 2017 and the subsequent Public Inquiry and recommendations. Our evolving policies have been tested by Safety Advisory Groups and Counter Terrorism Security Advisers to ensure robustness.
We continue to enhance this field of our work as we believe a PROTECT DUTY will place a duty on everyone managing public events in publicly accessible locations (PALS).
